Application Process

Application for the Jersey Area Girls Soccer League Scholarships.

This year we will award scholarships totaling almost ten thousand dollars. Any young woman who has been accepted by an accredited college or junior college as a freshman for the 2012 Fall Semester and has played in the JAGS league for at least one year is eligible for a scholarship. Applicants who have played on a JAGS team for three or more years are eligible for the larger awards.

The criteria used to judge the applications will be based on academic record, citizenship, extracurricular activities, community service, and contributions to the game of soccer. Applicants will not be judged solely on soccer ability and achievements.

Please complete the application's cover sheet and attach the required essay, list of activities, and your letters of recommendation. You must have your high school forward a copy of your academic record to the committee as well.

To be considered, the application and all documentation must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2012. The scholarships will be awarded at a reception a week prior to the JAGS Tournament in June.
