The Jersey Area Girls (JAGS) Select program after much success in the 2008 spring season is now striving for greater heights. We are anticipating more players to come out for the program this spring. Once again, to create a beneficial experience for the girls, we need the help from each current manager and club rep. We would like each club rep/manager/coach/trainer to encourage your players to try out for this program.
Applications: Applications are available on the website by clicking on the Applications link above. Complete the form and email it back to JAGSSELECT@aol.com. Pre- registration is important. A $10 application fee must be submitted at the first tryout to participate and receive a tryout jersey.

Who is eligible: Any player carded to a JAGS team or whose team has played in the JAGS league in either the fall 2008 or spring 2009 season is eligible to tryout.
How many teams will be put together? We will attempt to form teams for U10 thru U15. We will only form one team per age group. Teams formed for ages U-11 thru U-15 will consist of 18 players each. U10 will have 14 players.
When are tryouts? Tentatively all tryouts will be held the weekend beginning March 27, 2009.
Who will coach the teams? As last year JAGS will hire college players to coach the teams. We have a college goalkeeper to train the keepers.
How long will the program run? Once the teams are formed the teams will train once per week until the JAGS tournament is over. After that the teams will train twice per week. This year Select training sessions will be mandatory. We will be playing three tournaments : June 5,6,7 - Cherry Hill Tournament; July 4,5 - Pocono Cup; July 11,12 - Central Jersey Invitational.
How much does it cost? The program cost will cost around $460.00. Fees will go toward the tournaments, paid training, and uniforms.
What should be the expectations of players and their parents? JAGS Select provides a player with the chance to continue playing organized soccer through the summer, experiencing new trainers, meeting players they normally compete against in league play. Think of it as in inexpensive summer camp.
