Submit Scores

If you have registered with a userid for imSportz AND been granted Administrator privileges to your team, soccer scores can be entered directly on the website. The assigned Age Group Coordinator (AGC) will receive an email and finalize the scores. Note: Anyone that experiences issues or has not performed this setup should continue to send their Age Group Coordinator scores via email. This will ensure meeting the deadline for score reporting designated by the JAGS Rules. Important: You must fully complete the userid registration process. Once you create the userid, check your inbox for validation instructions from imsportz.

The league and NJYS have rules about rescheduling games so controls are in place regarding rescheduling.
(1)The schedule is approved and finalized by the league and loaded on the site. Changes to the schedule from that point on have to be reviewed/approved by your Age Group Coordinator (AGC). Report a "Reschedule" as described below and include (if known) the new date agreed to by both teams. The AGC will review the request and modify the schedule entry to the new date. If a new date is not known, it will remain as rescheduled until AGC is informed and approves. Only the AGC has the capability to change the date on the league schedule.
(2) The capability exists on the site for Managers/Coaches to add/modify practices, scrimmages, non-league games, team events, etc. These "self-created events" will not appear on the league schedule and will be isolated to your team.
(3) Regarding entering times, you can enter the score as a "Reschedule" and state in the comments you want the time updated. The AGC can update the time for you and the status will be reset. Many teams do not know their times at the beginning of the season and often not until the week before, so the coaches typically exchange this information prior to the game via email. Most don't bother ensuring the time on the site. This is additional administrative overhead for the AGC, not required by JAGS, but available if desired.

  1. On the JAGS site click on Teams/Age Groups.
  2. Under your Age group, click on Schedules. (In this example, we will be using U14)
  3. A separate browser window will be opened and display the schedule on imSportz. Important : At this time, you must check if you are logged in to the imSportz website (see upper right hand corner red annotation in image below). If not, you need to login and return to the schedule page following the steps above. In this example, userid torpedoes is logged in and is an administrator of team Wycoff Torpedoes
Find the game in the schedule you wish to report. Note: You may change the type of events displayed at the top of the list by team or division to reduce the number of events listed. See above graphic for red circle highlight. There should be a black button labeled Enter Scores displayed next to the schedule event for which you have authority. If the button is not visible, this is an indication your are either not logged in or your userid does not have the proper authority for that event. To submit a score for that event, click on Enter Scores.
  4. In the event window, click on Reschedule if the game was not played. Indicate a reason and reschedule date, if available, in the Reason box. Then click on button Update Score. If the game was played, enter the score for both teams, and click on Update Score.
  5. You will be returned to the Schedule page. The status of the event will be changed to Pending. Note: The score will not be visible on the page until the AGC has reviewed and finalized/approved the score (next step).
  6. The Age Group Coordinator will be notified and now have the capability to reviewing the scores, and changed the status to Played. Note: Once the score is finalized (status = Played), only the AGC can change it. Up until that time, revised scores can be re-entered" by "Editing Team Report". Below are examples of different status' associated with a team's schedule.

    SUMMARY :
Status = Not Reported means "event is scheduled, in the past, and no scores have been submitted".
Status = Played means "event was played, scores submitted by one or more coaches/managers; AGC has finalized/approved the final score". Note: Only AGC can modify the score after this point for any reason.
Status = Pending means "either one or both coaches/managers have submitted a score". Note: They can modify/re-enter the score up until AGC has finalized the score.
Status = Rescheduled means "event was not played and needs to be rescheduled".
Status = Scheduled means "event is scheduled and in the future".
